Brief Introduction to the Principle of the Primary School Attached to Central China Normal University
Born in May, 1956, Yao Xiaoming got his master’s degree in education management. He started his educational career in 1975, and now is the principal of the Primary School Attached to Central China Normal University, the Secretary of CPC Branch, senior teacher, prestigious teacher in Hubei Province, an adjunct professor in the Department of Education in Central China Normal University. At the same time, he has played a vital role in many educational associations in Hubei Province, for instance, he is one member of “The Scientific and Academic Education Committee of Hubei”, president of “the Association of Research on Primary Education in Hubei Province”, vice president of “the Association of Elementary School Principals in Hubei Province ”, vice president of “Council of Primary Mathematics Teaching in Wuhan”, vice president of “Council of Primary Mathematics Teaching in Hongshan District” and so on.
He has won a large number of prizes. Let’s say, one of the Top Ten Outstanding Principals in China from 2007 to 2008, an excellent teacher and principle in Hongshan District, Wuhan and Hubei Province, education and scientific research academic leader and one member of China’s one thousand excellent principles training courses.
Since 1996, the school has enjoyed fruitful achievements. To name a few, a national demonstration unit of “Developing School Through Scientific Research”, a primary school of the National Excellent School Website, a demonstration school for qualified educational level in Hubei Province, a demonstration school of the Top Ten Young Pioneers’ Work in Hubei Province, a prestigious school for educational reformation in Hubei Province, one of the Top 50 primary and middle schools in comprehensive schooling force, a demonstration school for qualified schooling level of the common primary and middle schools in Wuhan City, a demonstration school for moral education in Wuhan City, a demonstration school for recreational and sports activities and an advanced school for modern information technology education.
Since he took office, the school has got numerous honors and awards. To name a few, a national demonstration unit of “Developing School Through Scientific Research”, a primary school of the National Excellent School Website, a demonstration school for qualified educational level in Hubei Province, a demonstration school of the Top Ten Young Pioneers’ Work in Hubei Province, a prestigious school for educational reformation in Hubei Province, a demonstration school for qualified schooling level of the common primary and middle schools in Wuhan City, a demonstration school for moral education in Wuhan City. It’s also the training base for scientific and research experiment, the rural teachers, the rural primary school principles and so on. Additionally, with the joint effort of East Lake High-tech Development Zone and Hongshan District, two branch primary schools of our school have been set up, i.e. “ The No.2 Primary School in Optics Vally” and “New Yangtze River Primary School”, giving full play to the role of our school’s demonstration and radiation, hence promoting the balanced development of regional education.
Mr. Yao has also got fruitful achievements in education and scientific research. He has hosted and participated in 10 national and provincial research projects and he is the leader of four projects, which have now been finished and successfully passed the experts’ assessment. The research report “Research on the Guiding Strategies of Pupils’ Active Study” has won the first prize of outstanding scientific achievements in both Wuhan and Hubei Province. He has also published about 34 papers and experimental reports in "Guangming Daily" "China Reform" etc, and 27 books in Hubei People's Press, Hubei Education Press, etc.
Due to his great achievements, Mr. Yao has got lots of interviews from many magazines and newspapers, and TV programs, for example, “Hubei Daily”, Hubei TV, Wuhan TV and so on.
